The Wheelchair-Physical Functional Performance Test has been developed for people using manual wheelchairs. It is a valid and reliable adaptation of the CS-PFP test. A video of the Wheelchair-Physical Functional Performance Test (WC-PFP) is available below.
Like the CS-PFP, the Wheelchair-Physical Functional Performance uses the metrics of time, distance and weight to quantify the physical function of the tasks. The distribution of these metrics across the four physical domains of upper body strength, upper body flexibility, balance & coordination and endurance are shown in the table below.
The WC-PFP Testing dialog is available by clicking on this link. This valid and reliable test requires strict adherence to the testing dialog for providing instructions to the client. The WC-PFP dialog is available by clicking on this link.
Data collection of the metrics of time, distance and weight are recorded by hand onto a data sheet. The Wheelchair-Physical Functional Performance data collection sheet is available by clicking this link.
